Today's post is a special one because it's all about my little sister. Today is her 13th birthday so I thought it would be good to take a trip down memory lane (worried yet sis?).
When she was little, my sister decided what she wanted to be when she grew up. Was it an astronaut?
Or maybe an explorer?
No. She didn't want to be anything as boring as that. She wanted to be...a giraffe!
Yeah that's right, a giraffe. Personally I think that's a really cool thing to want to be when you grow up, so keep dreaming Eve, one day you'll get there.
Until that day you'll just have to make do being a shouty sullen teenager with an unhealthy Blackadder addiction. I'm sure there are many years of this ahead:
But luckily I don't live at home anymore. Happy Birthday. This counts as your present right?

Happy Birthday Eve, may your moods be long and your bedroom be messy for a few more years (then you have to grow up or something).
ReplyDeleteMark
Yeah, because you and I are such great examples of grown ups :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Eve! If you think life sucks now, wait til you reach our age.
ReplyDeleteMorgan.
P.s. oh and great post as always Bex :D
Cheers Morgan.
ReplyDeleteHe's right Eve. Life gets better at 18-25 then it all bills, responsibilities and creaking joints :)
Lol That last comic really sums up my attitude...
ReplyDeleteLol. The joys of being a teenager. I don't think I'd like to be one again :)
ReplyDeleteI got one year left and my life would be crappy. Sigh...
ReplyDeleteIf I only knew then what I know now...good comic Becky!
ReplyDelete@Jared Enjoy it while it lasts because once you get to 25 the time starts to fly by. Which sucks!
ReplyDelete@Tim Tell me about it. I'm sure I'll be thinking the same again in another 30 years. :)
I'm just afraid of college xD After being home schooled for so long I just don't know what will happen to me xD
ReplyDeleteYou never know, college could be the best time of your life. Even if it's not, it won't last forever :)
ReplyDeleteHaha. I see your sister as the first explorer to set foot on Mars. She kicks the Martian sand in front of a glorious Martian sunset, the first human ever to set foot on this mysterious planet. Takes a look around "You mean there's no place to shop? Where are the boys?" She'd probably be texting and not paying any attention anyway. Love this set of drawings, Becky, you really know your teens!
ReplyDeleteThat is spookily accurate Mark. She absolutely would be on her phone, but she'd be playing Zombies vs Plants and screaming at anyone who dared to talk to her.
ReplyDeleteplants vs zombies! duh, and i know it's extremely late but thanks for the happy birthdays:)
